Playing A Wii and Paying A Real Sport

http://i.cdn.turner.com/sivault/si_online/covers/images/1987/0615_large.jpg

Wii game is a new type of video game that currently attracts many people. However. playing a Wii is very different than playing a real sport. For example, when we play basketball, we play it on a basketball court. We have players from two different teams play against each other. We have a specific schedule for each game such as how many times and how many teams we are going to compete with. These informations are provided by a sport committee. Another point is that real basketball players need to be very healthy so they usually have a very special diet. They have to do exercise regularly because they have to use a lot of energy in the game. Exercising help players to be strong and flexible. In addition, players need to be one hundred percent forcused in a game. This will help them to find the other team's weak points in a game so that they can compete better.

However, the Wii video game is different because people can only play their games on a Television. They use remote controls to play the game and they play against the computer. People play their Wii at home and they can pich any team they want . they use controllers to control their team against their opponents. People can play Wii whenever they want to play. The Wii video game is available to anybody including elders. Sometimes people play this game even when they are sick. This game give people a lot of fun and happiness. People can use thei Wii to exercises at home, but they do not use as much energy as playing a real sport. Playing a Wii is different than playing a real sport. Players have to put extra effort to play a real sport because it is their career. However, people play their Wii to entertain their lives because they want to enjoy life.

The Differences between My Sister and I

Both my sister and I lived in the same house. We both grew up in the same environment. However we are very different from one another. First, Diem is my sister; she is very kind and clever. When she was studying at school, she always got good grades. When she stayed at home, she helped my mom cooking and cleaning. In addition, Diem likes to read romance novels. Everyday after dinner, she opens the book and reads it until she falls asleep. Unlike me, my sister never exercises. She would rather sit on a chair and read a book than go out and exercise.

However I am absolutely different than my sister. One, I am very stubborn and shy. When I was studying at high school I always skipped school; my grades were always lower than my sister’s. When I was at home I liked to be alone in my room. Furthermore, I did not like to read a book because it has too many words. I would rather interact with people than read a book. I would rather go out with friends instead of reading a book. Moreover I like to exercise so I would usually go to a club on the weekend to dance. I would also do a lot of walking during the weekdays. Even though my sister and I are related and we were raised in the same environment, we have very different personalities, interests and hobbies.

Country Living to City Living

Living in a country side area has different affects to living in a city. For example, housing costs are extremely expensive in a city. City is the central of economy; it is always crowded. People choose to live in a city because it’s easier to look for jobs. In addition, people who live in the city get much better services. There are many shopping malls in a city and most of them are very big. There are high speed internets in the city which people need for their job. On the other hand, every one use high speed internet at home for entertainment. Also, City has the best medical system for its own residents. Furthermore, city gets the most pollution. People usually get more air pollution and noise pollutions. These pollutions cause many health problems for the people in the city.
However, living in a country side is different. First, Housing costs are cheaper and affordable. People can buy a new big house with a big property as same as buying an old tiny townhouse in a city. A country side area has many farms and factories. On the other hand, there are not many jobs offer in this area. People usually travel to the city where it has more jobs offered to get a job. Unlike people who live in a city, people who live in this country area does not get enough service. There are not many shopping malls in this area, so people in this area have to take a long trip to shop. Also the area does not have any high speed internet yet. Furthermore, country side area doesn’t have anyhospital. When these residents need to go to a hospital, they have to travel to the city. Finally, residents of this country side area get less pollution. This area is usually cleaned and quiet, so the people are usually very healthy. As a result, there are more and more retired people choose to live in a country side area.

The Influence of Toys on Children

Regarding the influence of toys on children, toys are deemed important to children because they cold change children minds. When a boy gets a car that he can take apart and put back together, he can practice his language skills which he will need when he grow up. He will be able to solve problems he faces in his social life. In addition, a girl gets a toy like a grocery store. For example, when a girl plays with her grocery store toys, she makes up a conversation to talk to the toys. This conversation mostly is about cooking and family. With these toys, she practices a kind of conversation that is necessary in relationships with friends and family. She will be able to be comfortable with people in her surroundings. Campbell Leaper, a researcher at the University of California believes that children need “take oriented” toys as well as “social, interactive” toys. To conclude Leaper believes that verbal ability is the result of both nature and nuture.

In my own life, I have many “social, interactive” toys when I was a child. Most of my toys are cooking toys such as a stove, a pot, a frying pan, some bowls and cups. I used to play with the toys by myself; I made my own conversation. I talked and taught myself on how to cook and clean. This is the reason how I can cook well. My mom gave those toys for me because she want me to be a good cook?. However, I never play any kind of “task oriented” toys. This is because I don’t like them. I think that those “task oriented” toys are for boys not for girls. girls should not play with those toys. But now that I read this article, I start to wonder if I was wrong?

A Healthy Diet

A Healthy diet has been deemed the most important issue for everybody in the world. The following points are a list of things that a healthy diet should include. First, we should lower the amount of fat, sugar and salt in our daily meal. This could help us to live a long life because we would be able to prevent some of the diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension. Second, we should eat more vegetables instead of red meat. Vegetables contain different types of vitamins which are good for our body, but red meat contains a lot of fat and cholesterol. A Funny Reaction

It was a Sunday afternoon in Vietnam when I went out with a friend on a motorcycle. My friend drove me to a place where we were supposed to meet more friends. However, we got in an accident; it was a head on collision with another motorcycle. I flew three meters from the motorcycle, but I did not get any major injuries. Furthermore, I stood up and walked forward to the scene where my friend and the other guy were trying to move their motorcycles off the road. I was so angry at the other driver, so I yelled at him. I pointed at the driver and told him that he was wrong to drive that way. The driver sooner apologized for his mistakes and said that he would pay for the repairs. After that, I felt so sick because my head was spinning around and I could not stand anymore. I fainted on the round so my friend and the driver were very nervous. Suddenly, I woke up around five minutes later and was just fine. Finally, my friend, I and the other driver went to a mechanic together. We got my friend’s motorcycle fixed before we went home. From that day, I always laugh when I think of that situation. I could not believe that I tried to fight before I fainted.

Differences between the Education in Vietnam and Canada

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/72/Train-classroom.jpg

Canada and Vietnam have very different education systems. In Canada, elementary school and high school students do not pay tuition fees. They are free and available for every body, so every Canadian student can easily go to school without worry about money. In addition, Students have a lots freedom at school. For example, at most elementary school and high school in Canada; students do not have to wear uniform to school. They can wear whatever they want. Also, Canadian student are allowed to wear make up while they are at school. In addition, the Canadian high school students can choose three subjects that they want to take for each semester. For example, some students choose math, physic and social and some students choose science, geography, and art. Finally, Canadian high school Students have much better chance to get good grades because they have more time to study. They have three specific subject to focus on studying.

However, the education system in Vietnam is much different. First, in both elementary school and high school parents must pay money for their children to go to school. All school tuitions are extremely expensive, so some parents couldn’t afford for their children to go to school. These students either get a physical job, or they do not thing at home. Unlike Canada, all Vietnamese students have to wear uniform to go to school because that is the requirement. Vietnamese high school students have to wear white shirt, blue pans and red tie. At some public highs school, student may be required to wear a traditional white dresses, ao dai, otherwise they have to go home. Moreover, Vietnamese high school students have to take ten different subjects and they have to do well on both of the subjects. These subjects are Math, Physical Education, Social, Chemistry, Physic, English, and other subjects. The education in Vietnam and Canada are very different. The Canada education system seems to be better than the education system in Vietnam. As a result, Many Vietnamese families have tried to send their children to Canada to get a better education.

A Crazy Fad in Vietnam

About twenty years ago, many Vietnamese women believed in a crazy fad. They believed in a chemical called Silicone. These women used to go to a special doctor (plastic surgeon) to get the skin of their hands wrinkle free and smooth by the silicone injections. At that time, the plastic surgeons made a huge profit because they had many patients. These doctors injected silicone into a patient’s hands, so that the chemical made the patient’s skin tighten in order to look beautiful. This crazy fad quickly influenced many other women. They thought that silicone had magic power; therefore, more and more women tried to get that chemical injection. This fad did not last very long, because women who had this treatment done were getting cancer in their hands. There was an expert who found out that silicone was the cause of cancer. They informed the public about the problems that was coming from the silicone. Women realized the problems caused by the silicone and no longer wanted this treatment. This treatment which was very popular when it was first available suddenly was very unpopular. Now, no Vietnamese women get this treatment anymore and they think that it was a crazy fad.

2010 olympics - 500m short track speed skating on Feb 26th, 2010 at Pacific Coliseum

The most memorable moment of the 2010 Olympics for me occurred on February 26th. In the early morning, my husband, Craig, and I went downtown. We viewed the torch and walked all around downtown. Then we headed down to the Pacific Coliseum. The event we watched was the short track 500m and 1000m speed skating. We also watched the 5000m speed skating relay. It was a great experience to be there. Canada won 2 gold medals and 1 bronze. I will remember this event for the rest of my life, and I was so happy to be invited to this event.
